I started designing this course with the intention to provide a clear roadmap towards understanding and implementing principles that are central to healing and strengthening relationships, both personally and within communities. Each module builds on the previous one, allowing you to develop a nuanced grasp of restorative techniques and philosophies. Your instructor
I'm Rochele Haynes, an educator with an extensive background in supporting students, educators, families and community member. I am a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master of Art degree in Community Counseling. Additionally I am an author, certified school counselor, and licensed professional counselor. In 2022, I began my own business as an educational consultant and owner of Caring Communities Consulting.
Over the years, I have honed my skills through hands-on experience, leading workshops, and shaping curricula that empower individuals to engage in meaningful dialogue and conflict resolution.
My connection to the course "Fundamentals of Restorative Practices" is rooted in the belief that these principles are essential for creating inclusive learning environments where every voice is heard and valued. As I facilitate this course, I bring both my professional expertise and a deep personal passion for the philosophy that underpins restorative practices. It is my goal to inspire and equip educators to cultivate spaces where students can grow, learn, and thrive together, guided by the principles of respect, accountability, and community building.
